The Baldwin Area EMS Department
is supported in part by user fees billed to the
local municipalities to help cover a portion of the operating
costs of the department. The end user is charged a base rate,
plus milage and supplies as a standard in the
industry.
Our billing agent is
LifeQuest Services. Our staff sends a patient care report to
LifeQuest Services after an ambulance run.
From that patient care
report, LifeQuest generates a bill and will
work with insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid,
Worker's Compensation and individual patients to facilitate
the payment process.
Our staff serves as the
custodian of medical records, and Federal HIPAA patient
privacy practices are followed by this department. Please see
the Right to Know Statement at the left for more
information. We do not have copies of the bill at the EMS
station in Baldwin. All billing questions should be directed
to LifeQuest Services.
